Say Cheese!
This weekend, 10th & 11th August, Tavistock Town Hall hosted the Annual Tavistock "Real" Cheese Fair 2019 which was organised by Country Cheeses
We went out for a quick look and ended up spending a few hours there we just couldn't resist trying all the temping cheeses.
Tavistock was bustling with people, locals and tourists alike, a vast array of different types of cheeses were on offer to sample and buy, soft, hard, blue, Cow, Goat, Sheep, and vegetarian, there must have been a cheese to suit everyone.
If you like cheese, you will love Tavistock. One of the great things about Tavistock is the award-winning cheese shop. This can be found just behind the pannier market, next to Butchers Hall. With over 100 different cheeses to choose from it's a great place to sample a few and treat yourself. It really is a cheese lover's heaven.
To compliment the cheeses, right next door is De La Torres Olives, a unique specialist shop offering a large range of delicious olives and a selection of other Mediterranean products.
And a couple of my personal favourites

In addition to the cheese fair, Butchers hall was open with craftsmen and women selling their creations.
